Creating a Posting List from Settlement Request Lists

Use

Use this process to create posting lists, which you use to debit (or credit) the accounts of the various invoice recipients (customers) contained in the settlement request lists.

Prerequisites

To create a posting list, you need at least one settlement request list.

Procedure

  1. You create posting lists from settlement request lists.

You can select the settlement lists that you want to create posting lists for in the following ways:

    • manually

You can select settlement request lists individually by entering the document number of the relevant settlement request list.

    • Using a report

You can enter various selection criteria, which the system then uses to create posting lists from the settlement request lists that exist in the system.

  1. The system creates a separate posting list for each splitting criterion (for example, invoice recipient and due date).

All document data is taken from the settlement request lists. You do not have to enter any further data.

Note

In Customizing for Agency Business, you can enter further splitting criteria for creating posting lists. For further information, see the Implementation Guide (IMG).

  1. You post the posting list.

Result

The system creates accounting documents, which are forwarded to Financial Accounting for further processing.
